New Mason Mount banner to appear at Stamford Bridge before Aston Villa game

Chelsea fans at Stamford Bridge will see a new banner in the Matthew Harding Stand before the Aston Villa game.

The 100ft by 50ft overhead banner is dedicated to Mason Mount, the first Chelsea academy graduate since John Terry to establish himself in the first team.

Here’s what it would look like, according to cfcuk Fanzine on Twitter:

Mason was voted by the Chelsea fans as the club’s Player of the Year in the 2020/21 season that ended with the Champions League triumph thanks to Mount’s assist to Kai Havertz.

The 22-year-old has become a key player for Thomas Tuchel and Gareth Southgate in the England side just as he did for Frank Lampard during his spell at Chelsea.
