Chalobah hit out on how he can help the team

Being good on the ball is one of my main things’: Chalobah on how his versatility can help Chelsea

Trevoh Chalobah had a superb start to the season as he was immense in the Super Cup final and then scored his first goal for the club in the win against Crystal Palace.

Speaking to Chelseafc.com, the youngster discussed his versatility: “I can fill out a role in the midfield as well if needed, it’s good to have that versatility and for a manager to have options.

“To play in midfield you need to be good on the ball and that’s one of my main things, but obviously you need that at the back as well here.

“Being comfortable on the ball, aiming to play out through the likes of Jorginho and N’Golo Kante [that’s what you have to do to succeed in midfield].”

Chalobah hasn’t played a game in the midfield for us yet but it could be that the chance is given to him in a couple of cup games.

The centre-back can pass the ball well and even has a good shot in him – definitely a talented footballer that the Blues are lucky to have.
