Chelsea ‘considering using Michy Batshuayi in Declan Rice offer’

Chelsea are reportedly considering offering West Ham United the chance to sign Michy Batshuayi as part of an offer for Declan Rice.

The Blues are allegedly keen to bring Rice – a former youth-team player for the Blues – back to the club during this summer’s transfer window.

West Ham are expected to fight hard to keep hold of the England international, but according to The Athletic, Frank Lampard’s side could offer the Hammers Batshuayi as a makeweight.

The expected arrival of Timo Werner from RB Leipzig will seemingly push Batshuayi further down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, leading to suggestions that he could be on his way out this summer.

West Ham are one of a number of clubs to be linked with the Belgium international, who has only scored once in 16 Premier League appearances during the 2019-20 campaign.

The 26-year-old has enjoyed successful loan spells at Borussia Dortmund and Crystal Palace in recent seasons, though, and has also scored 16 times in 29 appearances for his national side.

Chelsea ‘line up Layvin Kurzawa as Ben Chilwell alternative’

Chelsea are reportedly considering dropping their interest in Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell to sign French defender Layvin Kurzawa on a free transfer.

The Blues are expected to bring a new left-back to the club during this summer’s transfer window and have been strongly linked with a move for Chilwell.

Leicester are thought to value the England international in the region of £80m, though, which could price Frank Lampard’s side out of a deal.

According to The Express, the London giants are currently considering alternatives to the Leicester full-back and have identified Kurzawa as a potential signing.

The 27-year-old, who has also been linked with Arsenal and Liverpool, will see his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expire at the end of June, making him an attractive proposition on a free transfer.

Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri are both expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
