Chelsea step up Kai Havertz pursuit
Chelsea are reportedly ready to up their efforts to secure a deal for Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Kai Havertz.
Since the turn of the year, it has been suggested that the 21-year-old could make the switch to a bigger European club during the next transfer window.
Despite interest from Manchester United and Bayern Munich, Chelsea are currently regarded as the favourites to get a deal over the line.
According to The Telegraph, club officials will look to make progress in discussions with their Leverkusen counterparts after this weekend’s German Cup final.
The report suggests that Chelsea are prepared to battle it out with Bayern in the race for a player who is valued in the region of £90m.
Havertz has contributed 12 goals and six assists from 30 outings in the Bundesliga this season.
Chelsea set sell Kurt Zouma to PSG
Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Chelsea centre-back Kurt Zouma during this summer’s transfer window.
The 25-year-old has made 34 appearances for the Blues during the 2019-20 campaign, although he has only featured in one of his club’s last six Premier League matches.
Zouma has not played a minute of league football since the restart last month, meanwhile, and appears to be down the pecking order under current head coach Frank Lampard.
According to TF1, the Frenchman has been offered to PSG ‘over the past few days’, and the Ligue 1 club’s head coach Thomas Tuchel is said to ‘appreciate’ the defender.
The also report claims that Zouma, who has previously been linked with Tottenham Hotspur, could be available for around €30m (£27.1m) during this summer’s transfer window.
PSG are set to lose veteran centre-back Thiago Silva on a free transfer ahead of next season.
