Chelsea Transfer News: Tottenham confident over £25m Kurt Zouma transfer deal
Rumours linking Kurt Zouma with a move to Tottenham persists with latest reports suggesting the north London side are confident of wrapping up a deal for the Chelsea defender.
the north London are reportedly becoming increasingly confident of signing the centre-back Kurt Zouma in a £25m deal during this summer’s transfer window.
The 25-year-old has made 36 appearances for the Blues during the 2019-20 campaign but his future at Stamford Bridge is currently being called into question.
A recent report claimed that Chelsea had offered Zouma to Paris Saint-Germain as they prepare to bring a new centre-back to the club ahead of the 2020-21 season.
However, according to The Express, Spurs are confident of signing the Frenchman in a £25m deal.
Everton are also believed to be interested in Zouma, who spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Goodison Park, but Jose Mourinho’s side are allegedly in the driving seat.
The defender has started Chelsea’s last two Premier League games against Watford and Crystal Palace, having previously been an unused substitute against Aston Villa, Manchester City and West Ham United.
The Daily Express claim Zouma could be available if Chelsea are successful in their attempts to bring West Ham’s Declan Rice back to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea Transfer News: Inter Milan still interested in Olivier Giroud and Emerson Palmieri transfer deal
Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud has reportedly remained as a transfer target for Inter Milan.
Having recently moved up the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, Giroud has recently penned a one-year extension to his contract keeping him at Stamford Bridge until 2021.
However, despite currently being regarded as Frank Lampard’s first-choice striker, it appears that the veteran will be offered a route out of the West Londoners.
With Chelsea having plans to make more big-money additions before next season, Inter are aware that club officials will want to make a number of sales.
As it stands, a deal for Palmieri appears more likely, with the Italy international now behind Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso with regards to selection.
