Gallagher’s debut, Gilmour beats Christensen & more: How 7 Blues performed in latest round of international games
Conor Gallagher was handed his England debut last night as the Three Lions destroyed minnow San Marino 10-0.
He was brought on at half-time and was followed by fullbacks Reece James and Ben Chilwell as all three Chelsea players saw out the game.
Gallagher hit the post on his debut and former Blue Tammy Abraham also found the back of the net.
Elsewhere, Emerson and Jorginho were held to a goalless draw by Northern Ireland. Italy will now have to qualify for the World Cup through the playoffs as a result of Switzerland going above them in the table.
Jorginho was withdrawn at the 68th-minute mark in what was largely an ineffective performance.
Billy Gilmour and Andreas Christensen both started for their respective nations. Gilmour’s Scotland beat out the Denmark side 2-0.
These players will now return to their respective teams as they prepare for club football.
