Now, the Daily Mail has revealed that the club never planned to sell Gallagher, with Chelsea reportedly insistent there would be no option to buy in his deal.

This was apparently done with the goal of bringing the 21-year-old into the first team picture next season.

It seems the club has been well aware of the quality Gallagher possesses and his recent brilliant form isn’t an unexpected bonus.
