I see a stronger Callum every day in training: tuchel reveals why he stopped Hudson-Odoi mave to Dortmund

Tuchel reveals why declining Hudson-Odoi’s loan move to Dortmund was ‘easy decision’ for Chelsea

Borussia Dortmund had made a late loan bid to get Callum Hudson-Odoi last month, as revealed by multiple reliable sources.

The Bundesliga side promised the youngster a starting position – however, Chelsea declined the move.

Thomas Tuchel opened up on the club’s reasoning (via Chelsea FC): “It was a very easy decision.

“There was no chance to say ‘yes’ to Borussia for Hudson-Odoi on the last day. For him personally, it may have been a good opportunity but for us, impossible. I see a stronger Callum every day in training.”

Hudson-Odoi started the game yesterday and had a decent game as he was subbed off during the end.

He provides great depth to Chelsea as a right wing-back or an attacker when needed, so him staying with the Blues was the right call by the coach
