Jorginho replacement revealed as star set to return to Italy

Chelsea monitoring Milan midfielder Kessie’s contract situation, will be free agent next summer (reliability: 3 stars)

As per semi-reliable Italian source Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea are monitoring Frank Kessie’s contract situation with AC Milan.

Kessie who has been previously linked with Chelsea, has apparently not yet accepted Milan’s 5-year extension offer with a €6.5m annual salary.

His deal expires at the end of this season and he will be free to agree on a pre-contract with a non-Italian club after January should he not renew his deal.

The 24-year-old is a strong defensive midfielder who could be a long-term N’Golo Kante replacement.

Milan are now apparently resigned to losing Kessie, either at a discount in January, or on a free transfer next summer.

The Blues are not the only ones monitoring his situation as PSG and Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in the talented midfielder
