Latest:World class defender agreed personal terms with Chelsea

Kounde agrees personal terms with Chelsea but not forcing move, ‘key’ for transfer revealed: Romano

As per the reliable transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have agreed on personal terms with Jules Kounde ‘since weeks’.

Should he arrive, the centre-back will sign a contract with the Blues until 2026 – the salary hasn’t been revealed yet.

However, Chelsea and Sevilla have still not worked out a final transfer fee and are in negotiations to reach an agreement.

Romano adds that Kounde ‘will be respectful’ with Sevilla if a transfer fee cannot be agreed – he is not forcing his move.

The ‘key’ for this deal to proceed is Kurt Zouma’s sale. Currently, he is in talks with West Ham over personal terms.

Chelsea reportedly consider Kounde a ‘priority’ and are ready to sell Zouma – there is no issue with an agreement between the Hammers and Chelsea.

Spurs are not in the race to sign the centre-back.
