Rudiger to become highest paid player in Chelsea: Rudiger reportedly decides against extending Chelsea contract

Rudiger reportedly decides against extending Chelsea contract

Antonio Rudiger has decided against signing a new contract with Chelsea, according to Spanish outlet Marca.

The German defender’s representatives have already begun talks with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid over a free transfer next year, as per the report.

The clubs are reportedly ready to pay Rudiger huge wages of £400,000-a-week – which would be a massive increase over his current package at Chelsea.

Unless able to agree to make him one of the highest-paid players at the club, the Blues could lose the defender for free next summer.

Rudiger is reportedly ‘angry’ at Chelsea for offering Jules Kounde a lucrative package last summer and is open to a move elsewhere once his deal expires
