We can still win the league: Chelsea fans react to Ronaldo’s United move

Title race wide open’ vs ‘past his best’: Chelsea fans react to Ronaldo’s United move

Cristiano Ronaldo has joined Man United, it has been confirmed.

The veteran forward is 36 years old, but his Juventus scoring record—101 goals in 134 games—shows he’s still a world-class player.

He would be a huge boost to United’s title chances.

And some Chelsea fans fear CR7 returning to Old Trafford would significantly improve our rivals, while others are not particularly worried.

BrockStinky: Ronaldo is still a 30 goals per season striker. United getting him makes them super strong.

Draco4538: United getting Ronaldo is better than them getting a competent DM, but it sure is hard when you picture all those smug United fans. But will be even better if they don’t win any trophy.

JamesyEsquire: You would think if Ronaldo was interested, it would be a no brainer for the club, at Chelsea he basically makes the team almost certain for the title and probably favourites for the champions league. At City they instantly become favourites and at Man Utd they would definitely be challenging with him.

Deino: “United’s going to go crazy up top this season probably. They might try winning games 5-4.”

JM7: “Only United would be daft enough to offer a 2-year contract to a guy who is 37 in February.”

enigma: “I can’t see how signing Ronaldo is a good idea. Man Utd will have two old guys past their best up top.

“Man Utd fans wanted a defensive midfielder, but instead they get another attacking player lol.”

hydrogensulphide: “Ronaldo to United is actually one of the better conclusions of this saga.

“United get another aging forward, don’t strengthen where they actually need to strengthen and are quite possibly out of the Haaland equation.”

The Cobham Cryonics: “Yeah, and if they sign him till 2023, wonder how much they will be ready to spend on Haaland, I suppose they won’t, he going to Madrid.”
